Hey! My name is Ayala, and I'm an experimental animator from Baltimore, most interested in blending digital and traditional media in service of making stuff that is vibrant, funny, scary, and/or weird.

My most notable project to date is probably the film Boheme in the Heights—a contemporary, Spanish Language adaptation of the opera La Boheme, produced entirely during the pandemic and rendered in an eclectic range of handcrafted styles.

In addition to pursuing freelance work, I teach Animation at Anne Arundel Community College. I also teach in the Visual Arts and Film Departments at Baltimore School for the Arts. (Subjects taught include Animation, Drawing, Digital Imaging, and my personal favorite: Motion Graphics and Compositing!)
